An event every week that begins at 9:00 am on Thursday, repeating until November 18, 2021
Felt making is an ancient art which predates other textiles in human history and has many uses in domestic, industrial and artistic settings. Through weekly projects, students will learn the basics of needle felting and wet felting techniques, in both 2 and 3 dimensions. This six week series is open to beginners and also to those with some felt making experience. All materials will be available for pick-up at the AIC or mailed to you (for an additional fee). Registration closes Sun, Oct 10.

Instructor: Elizabeth Stubbs is a felt artist living and working in Nahant, Massachusetts. She has a BFA from Boston University School for the Arts in painting, and has spent many years as a fine artist, illustrator, and teacher. She also holds a MEd from Antioch University in Early Childhood with a Waldorf certificate. It was during this teacher training that she was first exposed to the art of felt making and has been making felt for over 20 years. She teaches felt making classes and workshops in the greater Boston area.
