Artist John Thompson is pleased to introduce printmaking techniques to curious collectors, novice art makers, and practicing artists. This series will cover a variety of printmaking techniques including monotypes, monoprints, etching, relief, silk screen and lithography. Students will move at their own pace and explore their own visual interests. Throughout the class experimentation and combination of methods will be encouraged. Both beginning and more experienced students are welcome to work one-on-one with your instructor to learn new techniques, methods and materials. No previous experience is required.

Instructor: John Thompson is a noted printmaker with an expansive studio at the Lincoln Studios building in Waltham. He teaches in workshops throughout New England and at the Massachusetts College of Art and Design as well as Framingham State University. John’s work is in private and public collections throughout the US and internationally. He has shown work broadly and is represented by Childs Gallery, Boston; Atrium Art Gallery, Charleston, SC; Adelson Gallery, Palm Beach, FL; Sunne Savage Gallery, Boston, and others. John holds degrees from Syracuse University, University of Wisconsin – Madison, Babson College and Massachusetts College of Art and Design.
