An event every week that begins at 7:30 pm on Wednesday, repeating until November 17, 2021
Would you like to create your own holiday cards, make uniquely personal photo gifts, or simply improve the quality of your photographs? In this 4-session class, you will learn the basics of Adobe Photoshop, the most popular image editing tool used by professional designers and photographers. Although Photoshop is a large, complex program, this workshop will give you an introduction to a subset of features that will allow you to get started doing productive work without feeling overwhelmed. The skills we will cover include improving the lighting and color of an image, touching up a portrait, removing unwanted objects or spots from a photo, lifting an object out of a photo for reuse, making composites by combining multiple images together, and adding text and graphics to an image. You will have assignments to complete after each class to practice the skills covered in each session. Computers with the most recent version of Adobe Photoshop will be provided or you can bring your own laptop as long as you have the most current version of Photoshop installed. This workshop is appropriate for complete beginners and is a good way to try out the software if you are considering purchasing it.
