Teen Sewing Series
July 22 @ 9:30 am - 12:30 pm
Spend a four-day week with us this summer and learn to sew or to perfect your sewing skills. During the series we will complete three projects that cover a wide range sewing techniques and skills. Once you complete this class you will be able to use the equipment independently during MakerLab hours. When you register, we will send you a detailed shopping list with a range of local and online resources. If you prefer to purchase a kit of fabrics and supplies from the instructors, please note that on the registration page. This class is for middle and high school students.

Day 1: “Basics”- Pillowcase
Day 2: “Cut, Sew and French Seams”- Tank Dress
Days 3 & 4: “Bias Binding, Pockets and Elastic”- Shortie Pajamas

Materials Cost: $55 (payable directly to the instructor) *** This is optional. You may provide your own material. Please see the list of required supplies.***

Instructor: Carson Eddy is a teacher, designer, author, and textile artisan with 30+ years of experience teaching a range of sewing, jewelry-making, and craft skills. A strong believer in the power of creativity, Carson enjoys sharing her knowledge and teaching people new skills so they can discover their creative potential. Carson received her M.F.A. in Costume Design, from Carnegie Mellon University.
