DESCRIPTION:This class is inspired by an ancient traditional Indian art known as “Lippan Art” which is done using clay and mirrors. Students will learn about this traditional art. They will learn to create beautiful design patterns and will create the design using clay and add embellishment of the mirrors. Finally they will create a beautiful and colorful artwork with the combination of clay\, mirrors and acrylic paints. SUMMARY:Mixed Media Collage Series with Cherie Clinton
DESCRIPTION:In this 4 session series students will review the basics of material and media for building surfaces. Students will be creating surfaces with found materials from nature and reclaimed/recycled every day items. Techniques with each medium and ways to combine them will be demonstrated in the first half of each class.  Students will then be given time to experiment with these techniques as they develop personal projects.
