DESCRIPTION:Open Maker Hours is offered to students\, artists\, and makers who would like to use our studio space to continue their work independently. Our makerspaces and equipment are available outside of the traditional classroom experience. We encourage you to use Maker Lab time to join others who may share your creative interests as you explore your craft. \nOpen Maker Hours is a time to use the equipment for which you’ve been certified (3D printer\, Cricut Maker\, printing press and/or sewing machine) or to use our studio space. It is a wonderful opportunity be inspired\, collaborate with others\, and finish projects. The cost is $5 and you must provide your own materials. SUMMARY:Book Binding Fundamentals
DESCRIPTION:This class will explore 2 unique types of bookbindings. We will make a concertina book\, often referred to as an accordion book. This structure is beautiful alone\, but can be expounded upon to create complex book structures. The second book structure is a pocket sized knife edge binding.  Each of these techniques can be used to create one-of-a-kind books. If we have extra time I will introduce the lotus fold to further enhance your future concertina projects.
