DESCRIPTION:Join us for this fun and informative introduction to sewing class.  We will introduce the fundamentals of machine sewing\, garment construction and fitting\, shopping for fabric and patterns\, and essential sewing tools and equipment. This informative class is a skills class that will certify you to independently use the AIC lab and machines. SUMMARY:Needle Felted Robin and Nest with Eggs (Zoom)
DESCRIPTION:Spring is coming! We will create a sweet robin\, her nest and a few eggs\, to grace your springtime table. Needle felting is fun and easy to learn. All materials will be supplied. Materials fee is $30\, to be paid directly to the instructor. Supplies can be picked up at the AIC office a few days before the start of the class\, or mailed for an additional fee. Registration closes Mar 11. \n***Please note\, this class will be held over Zoom.*** \nMinimum Number of Students: 4 \nMaximum Number of Students: 8 \nCost: $45 \nMaterials Fee: $30 (paid to the instructor) \nDate: Sat\, Mar 19\, 9am-12pm \nInstructor: Elizabeth Stubbs is a felt artist living and working in Nahant\, Massachusetts. She has a BFA from Boston University School for the Arts in painting\, and has spent many years as a fine artist\, illustrator\, and teacher. She also holds a MEd from Antioch University in Early Childhood with a Waldorf certificate. It was during this teacher training that she was first exposed to the art of felt making and has been making felt for over 20 years. She teaches felt making classes and workshops in the greater Boston area.
