SUMMARY:Intuitive Modern Quilting: Foundation Quilting
DESCRIPTION:During this three session workshop\, Kathy Aluia\, will be teaching students the foundation of quilting. This is a ruler-free\, pattern-free\, judgement-free basic quilting class for beginners and sewers of all experience levels hoping to experiment with a more improvisational approach. Explore and play with color theory and relationships\, composition\, and improvisation while learning hand- and machine-sewing construction techniques\, quilting methods\, and binding. We will be working with 100% cotton solid fabrics. Students will learn several clever shortcuts and efficiency tips along the way. We will discuss methods for finishing your project based on completed size. Students will purchase a Materials Kit from the instructor.
