DESCRIPTION:Activate your creative spirit this summer in the AIC studio! Open to all\, these informal drop-in style sessions offer an inspiring environment where you can discover and create with other aspiring visual artists. Practice in the medium of your choice (drawing\, acrylics\, oils\, watercolors\, inks\, prints). Table top easels\, printing press and tools are included. Printmaking supplies (paper\, plates & ink) are available for purchase. For other mediums\, please supply your own materials. Starting June 20-August 29 from 6-9:30pm. See you on Monday nights! \nAs a reminder there will be no instructor present as this is not a class. Please bring your own materials or project for self guided experimentation or group critique. SUMMARY:Master Printer Jim Stroud and Center Street Studio: A Fundraiser for the AIC
DESCRIPTION:Join us for a presentation\, print demonstration and sale of prints and artist books produced at Center Street Studio. \nCollectors\, artists and those with an appreciation for art\, take part in what will surely be an exciting evening. Jim Stroud\, founder of Center Street Studio\, will discuss the role of a master printer in hand-printing editions of an artist’s print-based artwork\, demonstrate printing on the AIC press\, and showcase a selection of work on which he has built his stellar reputation.  CSS is a professional printmaking studio that publishes contemporary etchings\, woodcuts and monotypes with established and emerging artists. Donations collected at the door and a portion of print sales will go to benefit the Weston AIC.
