DESCRIPTION:You love what you’ve done so far with Cricut and/or laser cutting\, but you want to get even more custom! DESCRIPTION:Join Cecily and Abby for this Laser Cut Handbag Workshop! Don’t be concerned if you’ve never used design software or the laser cutter: all levels are welcome. Students will design and construct a handbag using sturdy\, recycled felt\, next students will customize and create the handbag using the laser cutter.  \nStudents will receive a pattern for the handbag that can be customized with a name\, initials or a decorative pattern from our pattern library.  Students will then use one of the AIC’s laptops to use Lightburn design software. You can cut extremely accurate objects out of materials like wood\, leather\, colored acrylic\, and even felt or paper. These powerful machines can make your projects lightning fast and repeatable. \nIn this certification class\, you will learn how to safely operate a laser cutter to cut and engrave wood.
