SUMMARY:Youth Summer Series: Sewing Series
DESCRIPTION:Join us for this fun youth summer sewing series and explore machine and hand-sewing techniques. \nStudents will make a drawstring bag embellished with cross-stitch\, a convertible tote bag/backpack embellished with patches\, and an embroidered t-shirt. They will work on the AIC sewing machines and other sewing studio equipment. Go home with finished projects\, an embroidery kit\, written instructions and patterns for all the projects\, and a resource guide for future reference. Please bring a t-shirt or tank top to the workshop. SUMMARY:Youth Summer Series: Craft with Cricut
DESCRIPTION:This summer series is all about the fun ways that crafts and creativity intersect with digital technology on a Cricut cutting machine. \nStudents will learn the essentials of vector design as well as explore every aspect of Cricut Design Space. They will have the opportunity to personalize stickers\, decals\, bags\, and cards. They will work on their own Cricut Joy machine\, as well as learning to use the different heat presses that we have at the AIC.  \nTeens will walk away with digital skills that they can use to be endlessly creative or even start a small business. The best part? They get to walk away with a new Cricut Joy Xtra!  \nThis class is open for those entering 5th-12th grade. \n  \nMaximum Number of Students: 8 \nCost: $200 (includes all materials and Cricut Joy Xtra) \nDate: 3 Days starting Wednesday July 22\, (22\, 23 & 24) (9am-2pm) \nInstructor: Abby \n  \nThis program is graciously supported by the Mass Cultural Council.

DESCRIPTION:Thursday Afternoon Teen Series: 3 classes\nJoin us for a Teen Series to Stitch\, Layer\, and Tie a Lap Quilt.  Spend three creative afternoons with instructor Carson Eddy at the AIC and go home with a handmade lap quilt to keep or gift.
