Children UNDER the age of 12 MUST be accompanied by an adult at all times. \n*To be certified on our equipment please sign up for one of our Certifications or register for Sewing Fundamentals. If certified patrons would like to make an appointment with Abby to use the laser please sign up here. \nJust a friendly reminder that you must provide your own materials and there is no instruction provided unless otherwise stated. The equipment may not be available as it is first come first serve. DESCRIPTION:This relaxed watercolor class is geared towards watercolor students who have taken a beginner class and are more familiar with the main watercolor techniques. \nThis class will be project-based and any techniques required for the particular project will be reviewed. The projects will include subjects like fruit and vegetables\, flowers that are not too complex\, landscapes with a tree and/or barn\, seascapes with a boat or lighthouse\, a leaf\, and bird or animal. All the line drawings for each project will be provided to trace or freehand draw with live demonstrations of each step in the painting process (including color mixing). One-on-one attention is provided continually during class. Materials List linked below. DESCRIPTION:This class is geared for the complete beginner who has had little or no experience in watercolor. \nWe will explore how much water-to-pigment to use to create tints\, glazes and deep dark tones\, together with an introduction to color mixing. We will work on a number of skill-building exercises and small paintings\, including the main 3 washes\, dry brush\, sgraffito\, spattering and lifting out techniques. We will work on making objects feel 3-dimensional (value and form) and will briefly touch on perspective.
