Join Mariko Sugimori of Mona & Zoe Mending for a hands-on workshop where you’ll learn to deconstruct old household textiles and reimagine them as a vibrant patchwork (jogakbo) wrapping cloth\, inspired by the traditional Korean art of bojagi. \nIn this class\, you’ll take apart an old garment\, practice hand-stitching techniques\, and piece together fabric scraps to form a tapestry of color and pattern. Along the way\, we’ll delve into the history of Bojagi and its cultural significance\, gaining a deeper appreciation for the tradition behind the craft. \nThis workshop is ideal for those with some hand-sewing experience\, though curious beginners are warmly welcomed.
