DESCRIPTION:This class is geared for the complete beginner who has had little or no experience in watercolor. \nWe will explore how much water-to-pigment to use to create tints\, glazes and deep dark tones\, together with an introduction to color mixing. SUMMARY:Beginners Watercolor Series: Afternoon
DESCRIPTION:This class is geared for the complete beginner who has had little or no experience in watercolor. \nWe will explore how much water-to-pigment to use to create tints\, glazes and deep dark tones\, together with an introduction to color mixing. We will work on a number of skill-building exercises and small paintings\, including the main 3 washes\, dry brush\, sgraffito\, spattering and lifting out techniques. We will work on making objects feel 3-dimensional (value and form) and will briefly touch on perspective. There will be multiple step-by-step demonstrations in every class and individual attention if needed. Images and line drawings are provided via email before class. Materials List linked below.
