DESCRIPTION:Felt\, the result of the tangling of wool fibers\, is the oldest textile known in human history. Felt has always been used for practical purposes and in recent years has grown in favor as a fine art medium. Through a series of projects\, we will explore various techniques for creating felt in two and three dimensions. This class is appropriate both for beginners and those with some experience\, who may choose to take a deeper dive into each project. \nAll materials will be supplied\, with the addition of a few readily available household items. A materials fee of $40 is to be paid directly to the instructor. Supplies can be picked up at the AIC office a few days before the start of the series\, or mailed for an additional fee.
