THE NAMESAKE 2006 122 minutes
Based on the novel by Jhumpa Lahiri and directed by Mira Nair, this film tells the story of a Bengali couple (Irrfan Khan and Tubu) who emigrate to suburban New York. As they try to adjust to their new country and the years pass, their teenage son Gogol (Kal Penn) struggles to reconcile his Indian heritage with the American culture he has grown up in.
