Explore the two exceptional Makerspaces at the Weston Art & Innovation CenterThe Toolshed and The Loft—vibrant community spaces for collaborative learning. Access the Laser Cutter, 3D Printers, Cricut Makers, Sewing Machines, Sergers, and Printing Press. Join our community of artists and makers who share skills and inspire innovation. The Makerspaces are used for workshops, Open Maker Hours, and are available to rent for Private Events. Learn more by visiting our Rentals page.

The cost to participate in Open Maker Hours is $5 (cash or credit).

You must provide your own supplies and materials.

The Toolshed: Discover, Explore, Fabricate

The Toolshed, one of two Weston Art & Innovation Center dedicated makerspaces,  is located on the lower level. Here, visitors actively engage in hands-on projects and creative exploration across multiple disciplines. Notably, the fully resourced studio provides the tools and collaborative environment you need to experiment, build, and develop your craft effectively.

Classes and Activities: Diverse programming keeps creativity flowing. These activities include laser cutting, 3D printing, printmaking, and our popular Fix-It First series. Additionally, drop-in activities and various craft sessions provide flexible learning options for all skill levels. Community members can participate in structured classes or explore equipment independently.

Equipment and Access: The Toolshed features professional-grade fabrication equipment that supports serious creative work. Specifically, we maintain a laser cutter, multiple 3D printers, a printing press, and a comprehensive set of standard tools.

The Loft: Design, Create, Collaborate

The Loft is a bright and airy makerspace. The first-floor studio welcomes artists, designers, and innovators seeking ample space to experiment, collaborate, and create. This vibrant environment empowers creative professionals and hobbyists to bring their artistic visions to life.

Classes and Creative Programs: Develops skills across multiple artistic disciplines and media by participating in diverse programming.  Our class offerings include painting series, Cricut Maker sessions, and comprehensive fiber art and sewing workshops.

Equipment and Access: The Loft features professional equipment to support both beginners and experienced makers. Specifically, we provide Cricut Makers, sewing machines, sergers, and a comprehensive array of specialized tools.
