Please join us for a fun and informative evening with Kerry Shrives of Bonhams Skinner.  Whether it is your most treasured heirloom or something that has been gathering dust in your attic or garage, bring it in and Kerry will tell us about it and what it is worth!  We ask that each ticket holder try to bring one thing to be appraised, so that we have plenty of items for Kerry to discuss.

What type of item can you bring to be appraised?  Almost anything!  Pottery and porcelain, silver, jewelry, glassware, paintings, prints and works on paper, textiles and rugs, sculpture and metalwork, ephemera, collectibles, clocks and watches, toys and dolls, musical instruments, small furnishings, and more.

Notes for specific items:  For large or particularly fragile items, you can bring good quality photos of the item.  For services of china or silver, a place setting accompanied by a list of the total number of pieces will serve to represent the entire set.  For large case furniture, a photograph and a drawer may be provided.

Kerry Shrives is a Senior Vice President and Senior Appraiser at Bonhams Skinner.  She has over three decades of experience in appraising, cataloging, and selling furniture, decorative art, and fine art from the 17th to the 21st centuries.

Kerry has been a frequent contributor since inception to the popular PBS program Antiques Roadshow and has provided commentary on the antiques and the art market for numerous print and digital news channels, including The New York Times, The Wall Street Journal, CNN, ABC, Bloomberg, and The Guardian.

Kerry holds an M.A. degree from the University of London and a B.A. from Smith College
