$50.00
Thursday Morning Workshop
Zip It Up: Sew Your Own Toiletries Bag. Ready to take your sewing past straight seams? This workshop takes your sewing basics to the next level through hands-on practice. You’ll choose your canvas, zipper, and thread, sew a sturdy toiletries bag from start to finish, and head home with your finished piece and a reference packet.
Limited seats available. Registration closes April 27.
If you’ve done some sewing and want a project that pushes you a bit further, this class is for you. You’ll start by setting up an AIC sewing machine, winding a bobbin, and threading it yourself, which is a quick refresher if it’s been a while. Then you’ll put those skills to work on heavyweight canvas and tackle a zipper installation, the step that turns a simple pouch into a real, functional bag. You’ll leave with a bag ready for your next trip.
What you’ll learn in this sewing class:
- Sewing with sturdy, heavyweight canvas
- Installing a zipper
- Sewing a finished project from start to finish
