In this course students will learn advanced oil painting techniques to help enrich their artistic voice and visual expression. Projects will begin with representational subject matter like still life and landscape, however students can explore other subject matter in more personal projects. Classes will include demonstrations, discussions highlighting examples from art history, and group critiques. This course is intended for students who have taken an introductory painting course and/or have some basic experience working with oils. Students are more than welcome to come to the AIC and use the space during class time.
