Join instructor and artist Carol Ryan for a four-week exploration of Collagraph Printmaking on the press. In this hands-on series, students will learn to create richly textured printing plates using mat board, a versatile and accessible material that’s easy to cut and has a smooth yet absorbent surface—perfect for both relief and intaglio techniques. Through guided demonstrations and plenty of studio time, participants will build and seal their own collagraph plates, learn to use our new printing press and discover how different textures hold and release ink to create a range of tones and effects. Whether you’re new to printmaking or looking to expand your creative approach, this workshop offers an exciting opportunity to explore texture, layering, and expressive mark-making through the collagraph process. Registration closes Jan 8.
