Saturday Morning Workshop

Capture the season in blue! In this hands-on Cyanotype Printing workshop, you will explore this enchanting art form by experimenting with the 19th-century technique of creating luminous Prussian Blue impressions. No experience needed.

Using feathers, ferns, and found objects, you will compose and layer arrangements directly on coated papers, fabrics, and a tote bag.  You will use a UV light box (or the sun, weather permitting) and chemistry to reveal your finished prints. All materials are included. Bring any found objects that inspire you.

What you’ll learn:

• Cyanotype printing fundamentals on both paper and fabric
• How UV exposure and chemistry affect your final image
• Ways to use your printed images

What you’ll take home:

• Your finished paper and fabric cyanotype prints
• An instruction packet so you can keep printing at home
