Teens: Upcycle with Embroidery

An event every week that begins at 3:45 pm on Thursday, repeating until March 12, 2026
The AIC is pleased to introduce an Upcycle with Embroidery Class for Teens. In this class, students will learn 6 fundamental embroidery stitches and add an embroidered floral motif to an upcycled sweatshirt. Please bring a pre-worn sweatshirt or hoodie to class.
A wide range of embroidery floss and stick-and-stitch floral motifs will be available for use in designing on your sweatshirt. Take home your embroidery samples, your embellished sweatshirt, and an embroidery kit that includes a 6-inch wooden embroidery hoop, embroidery floss, embroidery needles, a threader, and an illustrated information packet to help you continue stitching at home. Open to Grades 6-9. Registration closes Feb 23.
Minimum # of Students: 4
Maximum # of Students: 8
Cost: $95 (materials included – please bring a pre-worn sweatshirt or hoodie)
Date: Three Thursdays starting Feb 26 (Feb 26, Mar 5 and Mar 12) (3:45pm-5:15pm)
