An event every week that begins at 10:30 am on Wednesday, repeating until November 16, 2022
This series is designed for beginner to intermediate or those looking to re-ignite their creative skills.
Part 1 (Sept 28, Oct 5, 12 & 19): the first four sessions will focus on the basics of drawing and observational skills through exercises focusing on line, shape, form and value. Our conversations will cover basic drawing supplies. Most of our drawing work will focus on dry media, including but not limited to: graphite charcoal and colored pencils.
Part 2 (Oct 26, Nov 2, 9, 16): the second four sessions will build on our drawing foundation and move into introductory painting skills. Wet media options will include watercolor, gouache and/or acrylic paints. Composition, color value, color mixing demos and experiments will allow you to play with paint and build confidence. We will experiment with realistic an abstract exercises. Come with an open mind, be prepared to get messy, experiment and play! Registration closes Sept 21.
