Instructor: Carson Eddy is a teacher, designer, author, and textile artisan with 30+ years of experience teaching a range of sewing, jewelry-making, and craft skills. A strong believer in the power of creativity, Carson enjoys sharing her knowledge and teaching people new skills so they can discover their creative potential. Carson received her M.F.A. in Costume Design, from Carnegie Mellon University.
Spend the morning creating an elegant silk velvet scarf with instructor Carson Eddy in the Loft. In this class you will learn how to heat emboss silk velvet and then sew, line, and finish an 8” by 44” scarf. A variety of embossing stamps, jewel toned velvets, and linings will be available to choose from. Go home with, a one-of-a-kind scarf to gift or keep, and step-by-step instructions.
**Prerequisite: Fundamentals of Machine Sewing or basic machine sewing experience.
