Instructor: Carson Eddy is a teacher, designer, author, and textile artisan with 30+ years of experience teaching a range of sewing, jewelry-making, and craft skills. A strong believer in the power of creativity, Carson enjoys sharing her knowledge and teaching people new skills so they can discover their creative potential. Carson received her M.F.A. in Costume Design, from Carnegie Mellon University.
Yes, you can make your own shoes! Join us to make a pair of espadrilles as you prepare for the fun days of summer ahead! These summer shoes are made from cotton canvas fabric and jute soles. All supplies are included in the materials kit. Don’t forget to bring your fundamentals sewing kit! Tools and machines will be provided for your use in the maker space. Materials fee $35 paid directly to instructor on day of class. Registration closes Jun 4.

PLEASE NOTE: Because the soles are imported, the materials kit is a final sale. If you must cancel you may either find someone to take the class in your place or pick the materials kit and project directions up at the AIC after the class has taken place.
