Fiber Art: Butterfly Raw Edge Appliqué
March 11, 2027 @ 10:00 am - 12:30 pm
An event every week that begins at 10:00 am on Thursday, repeating until March 11, 2027
Two-Day Saturday Series
Snip, layer, and arrange your way to a spring butterfly. Slow down and discover a meditative approach to fiber art inspired by spring pollinators. This two-session workshop blends fine art and textile design in a relaxed, mindful small-group setting. Expect hands-on guidance and plenty of individual attention throughout.
Limited seats available. Registration closes March 3.
Drawing on the delicate style of antique lithography, you’ll design your own butterfly composition, then build it up layer by layer using contemporary raw-edge appliqué. Whether you’re a seasoned quilter, a curious fiber artist, or simply love color, pattern, and working with your hands, this class is a chance to find your artistic voice and enjoy the process. All Tools and Materials — including a full selection of fabrics — will be provided.
What to Expect:
- Two full sessions to develop and work on your art piece with guided instruction
- Inspiration from antique lithography
- Hands-on exploration of raw-edge appliqué techniques and mindful making
