Capture the season in blue! In this hands-on Intro to Cyanotype Printing, you will explore this enchanting art form with instructor Carson Eddy, by experimenting with the 19th-century technique of creating luminous Prussian Blue impressions on paper and fabric. All tools and materials will be provided.

Working with autumn leaves and botanicals, you will compose arrangements directly on specially coated paper and fabric. You will then harness UV light and chemistry to reveal your finished prints. You will use UV light boxes in class to expose your prints and learn to build your own light box for home.
What you’ll learn:
- Cyanotype printing fundamentals on both paper and fabric
- How UV exposure and chemistry affect your final image
- How to build your own UV light box
- Composition basics using natural, seasonal botanicals
What you’ll take home:
- Your finished paper and fabric cyanotype prints
- An instruction packet for building your own UV light box so you can keep printing at home
Prerequisite: No experience needed

Cost: $55 ($10 material fee paid to instructor)
Optional Things to Bring: Flat botanicals you’ve foraged that inspire you.
