Being culturally diverse and distinct, India has many folk art forms from different regions. This class will introduce you to some of these ancient and traditional folk art forms of India. We will introduce Madhubani Art, Gond Art and Kalamkari Art. These folk art forms are known for their striking geometric patterns, floral designs and use of bright vivid colors. You will learn patterns of each folk art form and create 2 paintings of each form and will be taking home “Tree of Life” from Madhubani Art, “Deer” from Gond Art , “Peacock” from Kalamkari Art. Registration closes Jan 15.
