Instructor: Elizabeth Stubbs is a felt artist living and working in Nahant, Massachusetts. She has a BFA from Boston University School for the Arts in painting, and has spent many years as a fine artist, illustrator, and teacher. She also holds a MEd from Antioch University in Early Childhood with a Waldorf certificate. It was during this teacher training that she was first exposed to the art of felt making and has been making felt for over 20 years. She teaches felt making classes and workshops in the greater Boston area.
We are lucky to live in New England, where the autumn is so beautiful. Spend a pleasant morning creating a sweet and simple felted acorns. These can be strung as a garland to decorate a doorway, a festive table or mantelpiece for the fall holidays, or displayed as a colorful little collection. This class is suitable for beginners and although this class is for adults, this project can easily be adapted to do with children aged 6 and older. All materials will be supplied at a cost of $20 to be paid directly to the instructor. Registration closes Oct 14.
