Wednesday Morning Series – 7 Classes
Ready to carve beyond the basics? Push your linocut practice further with intricate detail, richer texture, and bolder, more complex imagery. This advanced linocut workshop pairs live carving demonstrations with focused individual feedback in a supportive small-group setting. Bring your sketches, questions, and ambitions — you’ll leave with refined techniques, sharper detail work, and the confidence to tackle more ambitious, complex prints. Purchase of materials is required.
Limited seats available. Registration closes February 28.
You’ll experiment with line, texture, contrast, and mark-making, and try new ways to build depth and drama into your blocks. Along the way, you’ll learn to plan your designs with more precision so every cut is deliberate. If you’ve already got some linocut experience and you’re ready for a challenge, this workshop will help you take your prints in new directions.
What you’ll learn in this linocut workshop:
- Refined carving techniques for clean, controlled cuts
- Building texture through varied mark-making
- Using contrast and positive/negative space for stronger images
- Planning and transferring complex designs with precision
