Tuesday Night Series – 7 Classes

Ready to explore the possibilities of woodblock printing? Discover this timeless craft, one bold mark at a time, and leave with a hand-pulled print that’s entirely your own. In this hands-on workshop, you will explore every stage of woodblock printing, from sketching your design to pulling your first print. Expect live demonstrations, plenty of individual attention, and a supportive small-group setting that encourages experimenting with new marks. Purchase of materials is required.

You’ll start by developing your own image, then learn how to transfer it to the wood block and bring it to life with carving tools. Along the way, you’ll experiment with mark-making, texture, and composition, discovering how each cut you make shapes the final print. Then comes the exciting part: inking your block and pulling prints to see your design revealed. Whether you’re brand new to printmaking or simply curious to try something different, just bring your curiosity and a willingness to experiment. You’ll leave with real confidence in the tools and the process.
