Instructor: Carson Eddy is a teacher, designer, author, and textile artisan with 30+ years of experience teaching a range of sewing, jewelry-making, and craft skills. A strong believer in the power of creativity, Carson enjoys sharing her knowledge and teaching people new skills so they can discover their creative potential. Carson received her M.F.A. in Costume Design, from Carnegie Mellon University.
Join us for an introduction to Sashiko, a Japanese stitching technique by making this lovely set of four coasters. Learn a brief history of this technique and about ways that Sashiko can be used to mend or embellish various textile projects. All supplies are included to make a set of four coasters.
