Instructor: Carson Eddy is a teacher, designer, author, and textile artisan with 30+ years of experience teaching a range of sewing, jewelry-making, and craft skills. A strong believer in the power of creativity, Carson enjoys sharing her knowledge and teaching people new skills so they can discover their creative potential. Carson received her M.F.A. in Costume Design, from Carnegie Mellon University.
Join us for this fun and informative fundamental machine sewing class. We will introduce the sewing machine and essential sewing tools and provide information on fabric and how to shop for supplies. You will leave with an extensive packet of information and skills samples for future reference.
This informative class is a skills class that will certify you to independently use the AIC lab and machines. The AIC lab has cutting tables, sewing machines, irons and ironing boards, rotary cutting mats, rotary cutters, clear rulers, sewing scissors and thread snips for student use.
**Please note, this class is the prerequisite for the machine sewing project classes being offered this season.**
