MakerspaceWorkstationMakerspace Workstation Donation

Adam Wisnia, long time Weston resident, philanthropist, and Art & Innovation Center supporter is the owner of Production Basics, a flexible workstation design and manufacturing facility in Billerica, MA. Production Basics uses large scale laser cutters, amongst other sophisticated equipment, to create customized workstations for labs, workshops, manufacturing, technology and other facilities. Adam recognized that the AIC needed durable workstations in the makerspaces. He also recognized that, as a municipal organization required to be ADA compliant, the workstations had to be adjustable to accommodate those in wheelchairs. Adam proposed providing workstations for the two studios and allowed the AIC to specify the sizes and features. The resulting 12 workstations are adjustable, provide electric outlets and are on casters, allowing the use of the room to change as needed. The solid butcher block tops will last for years.

We can’t thank Adam enough!
