Chris Welles
Chris Welles taught himself to play guitar as a kid by wearing out his blues and jazz records. He went on to study at Berklee, Longy and Harvard; and with singers Karrin Allyson, Jay Clayton and Sheila Jordan. “Chris, you are really — and I mean this — a wonderful singer!” — Sheila Jordan
Now an accomplished singer and guitarist in the blues and jazz genres, Chris moves audiences with the sound of his voice and the rhythm and subtlety of his playing.
Chris Welles will be hosting the first monthly Weston AIC Jazz Jam, Sun, Feb 27! The house band will feature on piano James Merenda; Miki Matsuki on drums; and Jon Dreyer on bass; plus Chris on voice and guitar. The first hour will feature a performance by the house band – C Welles and The Resolutions – followed by a jam session with guests rotating in to play. Singers are welcome; and are encouraged to bring song lead sheets in their key.
