Instructor: Elizabeth Stubbs is a felt artist living and working in Nahant, Massachusetts. She has a BFA from Boston University School for the Arts in painting, and has spent many years as a fine artist, illustrator, and teacher. She also holds a MEd from Antioch University in Early Childhood with a Waldorf certificate. It was during this teacher training that she was first exposed to the art of felt making and has been making felt for over 20 years. She teaches felt making classes and workshops in the greater Boston area.
Chic and warm, there is nothing like wool mittens. Using wet-felting techniques, we will create a pair of custom mittens designed to fit your hands. This class is appropriate for beginners as well as for intermediate felt makers. All materials and tools will be supplied at a cost of $35 to be paid directly to the instructor. Registration closes Nov 5.
Please bring an old towel, a clean quart container (such as a yogurt) a bag to carry wet things, and a bag lunch.
