Neela Kiely is a lawyer with a jewelry design hobby. She first began to explore her creative side when she was gifted a jewelry design class in 2013- since then she has participated in craft fairs, holiday markets and farmers’ markets all over the Boston area. In this class students will receive step by step instruction on how to craft a beautiful cocktail ring using wire wrapping techniques.
During the first portion of the class students will focus on a basic design using sterling silver wire and Swarovski crystal. Then it will be time for students to practice what they’ve learned! There will be a choice of wire (sterling silver, rose gold, gold filled) and students will be able to pick from a variety of centers such as sea glass or Swarovski crystal to make a one of a kind design. Students will also learn the purpose and use of different tools such as ring mandrels and jewelry pliers. Students will take their creation(s) home as a beautiful gift for themselves or someone else! Registration closes Apr 9.
