Get certified to use the AIC’s laser cutter while creating a custom trivet or set of coasters. In this class, participants will learn safe laser cutter operation and gain experience using the laser cutter. By the end of the session, each participant will have completed their own laser-cut felt trivet or set of coasters in the colors of their choosing.

What you’ll learn:

• Safe operation and basic use of the Aeon Mira 9 laser cutter
• How to prepare and complete simple laser cutting projects
• How to book and manage laser time during Open Maker Hours

Certified individuals are permitted to use the laser cutter during maker hours after demonstrating proficiency.

Prerequisite: Must be 16 or older. Open to beginners and certified laser cutter users.
