Never picked up a brush or want to finally build real skills? This beginner watercolor class gives you a structured, step-by-step foundation in the techniques every watercolor artist needs.
Limited seats available. Registration closes September 6.
Guided by instructor Sally Meding, each watercolor painting session includes multiple live demonstrations and plenty of individual attention in a supportive small-group setting. Images and line drawings will be emailed before each session, so you arrive ready to paint.
What you’ll learn in this watercolor course:
- Water-to-pigment ratios for tints, glazes, and deep dark tones
- Color mixing fundamentals for watercolor
- The three essential watercolor washes
- Specialty watercolor techniques: dry brush, sgraffito, spattering, and lifting out
- Value and form — how to paint three-dimensional objects
- Basic perspective for painters
Prerequisite: No experience needed
