Fiber Art: Harvest Appliqué Series

Discover a meditative approach to fiber art. In this two-session contemporary raw-edge appliqué class inspired by the Fall Harvest, you will work in the spirit of celebrated Japanese artists Ayako Miyawaki and Yuko Kurihara. Develop your own textile composition and finish as a stunning hanging art piece.

This immersive, two-day workshop, guided by instructor Carson Eddy, is ideal for quilters, fiber artists, and creatives of all skill levels who want to slow down, find their artistic voice, and explore the intersection of fine art and textile design. All Tools and Materials — including a full selection of fabrics — will be provided.
What to Expect:
- Two full sessions to develop and work on your art piece with guided instruction
- Inspiration from Ayako Miyawaki’s appliqués and Yuko Kurihara’s illustrations
- Hands-on exploration of raw-edge appliqué techniques and mindful making
- A unique textile art piece to take home and display
What to Bring:
- Reading glasses if needed
- Any fabric scraps that personally inspire you
Prerequisite: Some hand-sewing experience recommended
