Thursday Afternoon Teen Series: 3 classes

Join us for a Teen Series to Stitch, Layer, and Tie a Lap Quilt.  Spend three creative afternoons with instructor Carson Eddy at the AIC and go home with a handmade lap quilt to keep or gift. In this beginner-friendly teen sewing workshop, you will build real skills.

Limited seats available.  Registration closes October 14.

Session by session you will learn to cut fabric, layer a quilt, operate a sewing machine, and hand-tie, and blanket stitch a beautiful lap quilt measuring 36″×42″ from start to finish.  Select from a curated selection of coordinated designer fabrics, threads, and yarns to make a quilt that’s uniquely yours.

What you’ll learn:

• Basic machine sewing techniques
• Fabric cutting and quilt layering
• Traditional hand-tying method
• Blanket stitch edging

What You’ll Take Home:

• Your finished hand-tied lap quilt — ready to use
• Leftover fabric and yarn
• Printed step-by-step sewing instructions for future projects

Prerequisite: No experience needed

Cost: $95 ($10 materials fee paid to instructor)
